• PCAS After-School Art Club for ages 5+. There is a maximum number of 8 children per class.
• In our after-school art club, our focus is primarily to help children build a strong relationship between themselves and the studio space by establishing an art practice. Teachers routinely bring in new mediums and new techniques to share with students, however teachers also pay close attention to the artistic choices that a student makes, acknowledge their creative process, and speak to them about their art practice to both enrich and challenge their work.
• This class is sometimes a little more boisterous than others, given that the kids have been at school all day. We strive to accommodate that energy by offering focused projects, collaborative projects, and free independent work time based on how the kids are wanting to use their creative energy.
• PCAS After-School Art Club helps your child to develop many basic art skills while working with various mediums. Our classes are also designed to engage both your child's visual thinking and critical thinking skills, as they discover their own artistic process, become comfortable with making independent choices in the studio, build their skills to create increasingly complex works of art, and most of all have fun.​
